|Rushing Wind Biker Church
|Born in Brooklyn, NY but moved with the family in
1960’s to Flanders. Graduated Riverhead HS in 1973.
Went to college for 1 ½ years with Air Force ROTC until
program cuts reduced ROTC numbers and I went Active
Duty. I retired from the Air Force as a Master sergeant in
1997 after over 22 years of service. A vast majority of the
|time was deployed supporting forward operating bases or installing joint service
Command & Control Communications/Computer (C4) systems. Worked for
several communications companies but lost my positions as the companies
merged and dissolved.
I currently work at the Northport VA Medical Center starting in Police Service in
2009, and recently transferred to Social Work/Chaplain Services as the HUD-
VASH Housing Specialist. Raised in a traditional Southern Italian Catholic family
I always believed and had faith. While in the military I found myself attending a
Southern Baptist Church in Florida and was Baptized in 1984. I steadily worked
my way teaching bible studies, working with youth groups and eventually
started a church counseling service for veterans using biblical principles as the
baseline. Even started creating sermons using nature and personal experience
to clarify and explain how the bible is true and faithful.
Upon returning to Long Island and attending several different churches I
eventually became close to the Bikers for Christ (BFC) and Christian Motorcycle
Association (CMA) leaders. I was one of the first members of the Rushing Wind
Church started by BFC and Rushing Wind Ministries. I have since completed
their training program and Ordained as a Minister in June 2013. I also currently
working on an Associate’s Degree in Christian Theology. I am an active
member of the US Veterans Motorcycle Club and volunteers to support various
Veteran Service organizations including; Suffolk and Nassau County Veteran
Services, 9-11 Veterans, and others.
